No need calculators for AE86, we all know pretty much enough.
150hp and low weight car (drag spec) seems OK for 15 sec mark. But it's hard to imagine stock 4AGE (expect pistons) that can achive 150hp. |

Road & Track tested the 1985 Corolla GTS and achieved...
1/4 mile @ 18.60 seconds and 79.5 mph. 0-60 mph @ 10.5 seconds, citing axle tramp as being a limiting factor. Car weight as tested @ 2640 lbs (1199 kg). The AE86 was never a hp monster, but could hold its own on the road due to good brakes, factory LSD and decent handling. In Japan it was getting whupped regularly by the Honda CRX 1600, and a little later by the Suzuki Swift GTI 1300. Power to weight is where it's at Cheers... jondee86 |

Curb weight stated @ 1112 kg, so I guess the weight as tested included
for the driver and a bit of test gear. My car (UK spec) weighed 1060 kg without driver, last time I had it on the scales. Cheers... jondee86 |

10sec is too much.
Descent AE86 can go 8,5-9sec easily with ~ 1100kg, car with two passengers. |
