I don't know how famous this car was outside of the UK, but John Dodd's car is coming up for auction soon.

I've heard many conflicting stories about the car. Some people claim to have seen it and been impressed, while some people have told me it's not actually as impressive as John Dodd made it seem. It's still an interesting piece of history though.

I can't believe Johnny Smith did a video about it. They let him drive it too.

Auction ended at £72,500 then. That's a lot more than I was expecting. Hopefully it appears in a few more youtube videos and we see how well built the car really is.

I was very intrigued by the Johnny Smith video. It was a shame that just when the engine warmed up he had to bring it back. During warmup he basically had the car propel itself on the idle throttle, so very noisy, smokey and no go. I would be very interested to see how well it drove after that.

His family made a few videos of him driving it long distances. The car still smokes when it's warmed up.

Jonny posted an update with the guy who bought the Beast. I think it looks much better now.

I'm happy it found a good owner who also appreciates a good mix of other cars as well! He loves the Honda N600 as well and there is even a little bit of AE86 in there on that Esprit S4 Turbo.
