30 - 60 times
I'm looking for info. on 30-60mph times in 4th gear for a standard or near standard '86
Basically my cars gearing ensures the quarter mile dash is more of a trek !(17-18 seconds) 4th is a one to one ratio as per stock and I have a stock diff ratio. Just need to know if my car is at least similar in performance to a standard car. Ballpark stuff really, I know it's not going to be all that accurate. So please get out there with your stopwatches and post up some times. Modded cars would be good too if possible. Thanks, TC An analogue brain in a digital World |

Come on people don't be shy
Some times from me then, taken from onboard trip meter. 30-60mph flat road average of both directions 4th gear full throttle from 29-30mph 15.6 seconds cams lined up as per factory 12.4 seconds after a little cam timing 11.2 seconds after some more cam timing Still more to come. I think 10 seconds is on the cards. Some interesting stuff here: http://themotor.myfastforum.org/The_Moto...t9084.html An analogue brain in a digital World |

no one really cares I know, got it down to 10.25 seconds. Is that good for a 16v '86 ? I have no idea !!

Measured mine with gps today, 50-100 km/h
8.5 sec in 4th, 10sec in 5th. Tried 0-100 km/h, litttle below 8 sec with codriver. Setup ? Not that simple to explain but surely it has power similar to good stock 4AGE, not more. |

Thankyou, really helps.
Standard car does 30-50mph in 7.5 seconds so 8.5 to 60 sounds right on the money. An analogue brain in a digital World |
