Ok, thanks everyone ... now let's be more specific about ITB ... what to buy? where to buy? (Toda?, Jubride?, etc?). same for injectors ... what&where? ... ecu ... don't bother ... I can clearly see that I'm going to end up with Motec ... again Cheers

Ivica,
I wouldn't put very ,much energy in selecting the Throttle bodies. In the end they are just a tube with a flap in it, nothing special. Its just that they are difficult to manufacture in small numbers and therefore expensive. Jun, jubride, toda all should be more then adequate, just select the one that you can get the best bargain on. As far as the ecu goes...TEC2 would suit you just fine and be a little less expensive. I'm guessing though that there is someone who is familiar with motec in your neighbourhoud, no? I know that there is a company that makes IRTB's for MX5/miatas. When they sell a unit they send a couple of engineers with it to tune the thing on site. No bullshit, honest! They are called RS Aizawa, don't know whether they make products for other cars though.. Check this site for one of their installs http://www.thebluepotato.net/newpotato.htm Its in the engine section somewhere between the photo's. Look at the lettering on the back of the guy who does the install...This is a Japanese product beïng installed in the US.... A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

May be worth taking a look at http://www.jenvey.co.uk/
I know quite a few people who run these on Pug Mi16 engines in either 405 or 205 gtis with good results. I think you would first have to check that a manifold for the head was available - but if not I'm sure they could make them. There is a kit car company in the uk who are putting 4AGE engines in their cars. They already have a manifold conversion so you can run webber 45 carbs. Regards Ian. |

I am planning on using the intake manifold from T3. |

Hmm, I think Jenvey throttle bodies should hook up to most of the Webber carb manifolds..so that might also be a alternative. You would have to solve the fuel+throttle linkage problems by yourself. Not that big a deal though.
