4AGE 16v N/A project
My ecu (celica orange letters) cant stable the idle like AE82 (left in pic) too. But the ecu of AE86 (rally edition (for stock engine) from TOYOTA of Greece years ago) can be stable the idle.
My mechanic gave me his Megasquirt. Can i "work" with that? Are there differents edition? What else i need? Where can i find a software? And some random pics **COROLLA EE80 - 4AGE 124HP** |

The AE86 ECU you have is probably similar to the group-N ECUs Tomi talked about. Such an ECU would work better with big cams but probably won't pass an emissions test when idling below 1000rpm.
The Megasquirt looks like a version 3 board so it already has a suitable signal conditioning circuit but other than that, gon's instructions should apply. You can find the documentation and software for Megasquirt'n'spark Extra from here; http://www.msextra.com/manuals/MS_Extra_..._Index.htm |

Is there a specific map for 4age AE86 (and work on it) or universal?

4AGE 16v N/A project
My project is almost finshed. I have to find a MS and a base map to work on it. I try to find one but nothing.
I run the engine with AE86's ecu. I run it not upper 3000rpm because i have to do some km (not less 3000) for the good of the engine. Works fine on the road. The idle is stable only 1400rpm. Some pics and some videos. I need help on the MS. **Bad bad english **COROLLA EE80 - 4AGE 124HP** |

Looks nice, sounds nice.
You have to make a dyno run when everything is fine I'd like to see the result... |

1.- Oil filter adapter for oil cooler. Is yours oil cooler connect like that?
2.- My new lid of the box. Now i am becoming a twinky. I need to be closer like a twinky the side mirrors with regulator 3.- A pic of my engine These days i had some problems with the oil and oil cooler. The oil pan has two holes. One for the plug of oil pan and one i dont know maybe the previous owner had a temp sensor. In the 2nd hole we fitted a bolt but there are some drops. But to 2 days ago i noticed that there were oil under of the front bumper on the ground and not only under of oil pan. I opened the bonnet and i saw a lot of oil inside of the front bumper. I though that it was from oil cooler, maybe had holes of the rust. I started the engine and i didnt like the sound. Turned off it. I checked the gage oil level and saw that it had oil. I cleaned it and i checked again and i saw that it was DRY! I put it again and the same thing, DRY! After that i added 2 liter oil and i started the engine. I heard a big MPAF! and something strange sounds. Immediately i turned off and i saw a lot of oil on the ground. I opened the bonnet and i saw that something happen to the oil cooler. I called the truck to move the car in the mechanic's place. A hose was off from the oil cooler. The clamp is broken. Maybe from the big pressure. I added 2 1/2 liter oil and new clamp. I have to order new oil cooler kit. I started the engine the sound was like before so normal. Is it possible to damage the engine? **COROLLA EE80 - 4AGE 124HP** |
