4AGZE in an AE86

Hi,

I would like to know if any of you have this engine fitted in an AE86.
Is this engine "plug-in" type? I mean, it's fits exactly like the 4AGE or i have to do modifications?

Some modifications are necessary, but it fits in the mounts easily.
You need to modify a lot of the electronics, some intercooler piping, and you have to make a new bracket for the alternator...those are the main things.

So, after reading Moto-P article i still have some doubts.

Since, the 4agze has a/c, power steering and alternator, this means i can't only fit the alternator and remove the a/c and p/s?

I can use the std gearbox from the 4age in the 4agze?

Anyone knows where to find a person that had already fitted a 4agze into a hachi? I would like to know how hard is the wiring harness refitment job.

You can leave the a/c and p/s out if you want.

You can use the T50.

The wiring is a bitch unless you are auto elecrician.

I am not sure if your 4age ECU run map, but here it do, then we modifi the 4age ECU to run the 4agze engine.

Rasteirinho, there is a person here in Portugal that is as we speak doing that conversion. He bought the gze from fensport and is currently taking care of things to get it working. It is already mounted in the car, he s going to work out the electrics next. If you want to i can give you his msn contact. PM me if so.
