4AGZE problem...I Need help please guys
I dropped a 4AGZE motor in my AE92 Rolla.
We connected the Stand Alone ECU up and everything is working fine and the car was over fueling as it needed to be dyno'd... We put the car on the dyno and to our suprise the SC is not charging at all. We've checked for any air leaks but none was found. The SC is making all the sounds needed to be made but the car drives like a normal Twin Cam 16v. What else can be the problem that we didn't look at maybe and is it possible that the SC needs to be replace? Please guys your input will be valued. Seems like it is a GEN 2 or GEN 3
SC is not driven by ECU but by a vacuum.. so my first guess, is that, that line is missing? or that you have a leakage there, or the valve is not working. youre engine is now sucking air trough the SC, what it wil do most of the time! The motor comes out of a MR2 AW111
The ECU is from South Africa and is called Dicktator which a lot of the guys is using on their Toyotas to do the 20v conversion on the AE92 FWD The guy that's dyno the car is Robbie Ferrolli who use to drive the twin engine 16v turbo'd VW Golf... I will let Robbie know to check out if the line is present or not nad thanks for your input Gtsi-R as it is much appreciated buddy... How are you engaging the S/C clutch? Wired to be on constant or controlled by the ecu. n standard form the black and red wire is 12V and the black and yellow wire is ground through the S/C relay which is controlled by the ecu.
The air bypass valve governs maximum boost so if this is stuck open you will lose boost. Did you fit a boost gauge? |

The SC is controlled via a switch so it's not running constantly...
I must still source myself a decent boost gauge... I sourced another SC 12 and hopefully will connect it in next week....Now my question is, how long does it take to take the SC off if it's installed into a AE92 FWD and is it a complicated effort?
