Jap battery in uk?

Hello everyone,

Battery has been slowly dying for a while and after a door sensor tripping and running the battery flat it struggles to hold a charge, so new battery time!

Anyone know a decent place to get Jap batteries in the UK for a decent price?

Is Jap a battery brand that you like using? Otherwise just about any battery that fits will do the job. Unless weight is an issue, then you should get a "race" battery or a motorcycle battery (not for a daily obviously)

AE86 runs standard terminals, so any battery from your local motorfactors will work, or even Halfords does them.
As you´re running a small displacement engine and lost the A/C you could probably go smaller than the one that´s in your car at them moment...
There should be a sticker on it with the Ah rating on your current battery.
Iirc I´ve been running a 45Ah for years.

If you´re not in a hurry I can look up the exact modell number for the batteries we use in our AE´s at work on Wednesday...

It's nothing like i'm a JDM whore and really want JDM bits i'm just certain my current battery has jap terminals as I tried putting in an old Halfords battery I had laying around and I couldn't get the connectors on and my battery stay wouldn't fit on it!

My current battery is really slim with small pointy terminals, do AE86's not usually have jap batteries then?

Max that would be great if you could! i'm in no major rush as its been starting okay all week would just like to get one on order especially as its getting colder!
