Major KUDOS, 86er. I would occasionally catch myself running the video over and over again and kinda dream about my Blacktop running in a similar manner. Could you post some extra pics on the strut conversion [I assume you had the front struts modified] and the suspension in general. Get some more vids made, man, the car truly is a marvel to behold! Wish you and the project all the best and awaiting more details.
Cheers! |

86er's Track rebuild N2.??? Finally an update page 8
Heh guys slight update car is driving and ive gotten lazy as a result
Here are a few pics of how she stands Well for most part nice so far. Car pulls hard but here is a hickup somewhere as around 5000-6000 rpms depending on load car will splutter, its not on the maps or in A/f ratios so we suspect wiring/ecu so have to investigate. But when i doesnt fine its way into that region its one hell of a pull Well one of my hts front shocks blew and the other was botteming out all the time for some reason so ordered 2 new agx shocks(felt like i should have done that in first place. Also noticed while dealing with shocks that the front springs said qa1 7-450 bought them as 6kg/ 330lb springs so was disapointed to notice this now. So i also ordered the correct springs and was happy to finally get them this past weekend car feels times bbetter now wass sooo bumpy on the 8kg springs on these roads the dead shocks werent helping front felt terible. Car is a dream now feels so nice with new stuff in front No action shots yet but ill see what i can do this weekend Biggest issue now is the realisation that the engine is smoking didnt want to have to rebuild this engine until i was ready to upgrade, was told when i bought it it was low mileage but while i was registering engine truth came out about that and it was just from a local car that had been hit Most cars here get alot miles and owners dont always take care, so think she needs rings but a full rebuild would be good cuz its black under there This has found me in my current situation. I saw a opertuniny to get another engine about 2 weeks ago particually a damaged 3sge beams dual vvti engine that needed a rebuild. This got me pondering as I was actually goin to swap in thi smotor before but cost lead me to buying the 20v. But seeing this and with my current situation I was plannaing to get this engine and rebuild it over time then just swap it out for my 20v. BUT upon goin and lookin at damage I calcualted rebuilding it (has to bore out and also one of combustion chambers damaged) would cost about what i could get a whole beams for locally( i discovered after making a call) So I went and looked at this next engine and its coming at 1500US for motor complete no box and with acut harness no ecu. SO Ive been sellin stuff in an effort to buy it with out causing my pockets more anquish and hoping to go get it this weekend. Plan is to slowly aquire parts to fit and then swap it out in a few months with blacktop and do it all for around what blacktop has cost me to this point (3500US or there abouts) hopefully I get motor and its not sold (went and looked at it again last saturday) Good thing about buying from this local engine importer is i get a warrenty for a period plus they have the car down there so may get some other bits like speedo. they want too much for 6spd though so will source one locally later  good points about beams over 20v 210hp stock( to get 20v there will lose reliabilty and will have to spend money on top of that 3500US) More torque, and dual vvti means better bottem end aswell) ok thats it "life begins at 8000rpms" - Going Racing |

It's a pity the motor isn't up to par and seems to be endangered by swapping. From the video on page 3 it sounded amazing... Hope you get everything sorted, you deserve a good car after everything you've went through...
