Once the engine had decided to pack it in i went looking for an exhaust valve to replace it however this proved very hard to find for some reason as i tried alot of people over here to source on including Toyota who got 3 in for me but were all wrong. The decision was then made to go 20 valve Thumbs up! Good to see this car on here - and looking forward to seeing how it progresses and helping a bit too!

I think you'd old 16v head's obviously been modified... If you send us the old valve, we can get the specialists here to recognise and match it up, I reckon...Then at least the head could be saved and used for someone wanting a high power one Thumbs up!

Hi Banpei yep that's what i'm looking for alright, think it's going to look really well and certainly bring the car back to like appearance wise. Can't wait. The car was meant to go in to get painted two weeks ago but he's got a back log so have to wait a bit longer.

Speedfreak Smile

I like the look of that sort of colour!

As you've got a few weeks, why not spend a couple of evenings stripping it out a bit more - Gut the engine bay and if you aren't going to use it - take out the air con parts inside the car and blank them. Will mean the engine bay can look right when the bonnet's open.

You going to be putting on that Goodline bonnet I sent over a few months back?

Cheers
Miguel

I've already removed the aircon and pipes so should have a bit more room in the engine bay.Wasn't planning on stripping engine bay completely as we did this with matty's and it really just prolong the re-build although it does look great.

However money is also tight at the mo....we'll see what happens,i've more to do as i seen today when i was down at the workshop so tomorrow will be another day and night.... Thumbs up! Thumbs up! Thumbs up!

Yes will be using the Goodline bonnet i love it,i'm just hoping with the 20 valve engine conversion that having the vent there won't drown the engine when it rains....as it tends to do over here alot.

Just make a longish gutter channel - to drain the water to either side of the engine, and perhaps slightly forward too. That should work - getting any water on the engine block regularly might make it start to rust...

Damn rain!
