A new plan 4AGZE
I honestly had no issues with regard to how it operated.

I did have heat problems, but this was mainly due to the mid-engined layout and difficulties with regard to intercooling. I did solve this by ducting the interocooler and sealing it from the engine bay.

It was a bit homebrew, but effective:

The SC outlet I had made up:

Details on what I did:

I did a lot of trackdays with it, including Spa 3 (or was it 4) years running as well as nearly every track in England. I don't know if I had any issues with wear, but I didn't have any problems and the car was driven hard.

I have replied to your PM. Smile

You can fit a switch, basically just isolating the power to the clutch. I personally didn't think it was worth it, though my fiance (who has had 4 SC's) reckon he made better mpg/ km/l on motorways.

thanks for the link and info.

thats looks very nice, can't wait to read the topic on the forum Smile

Thats good to know.
i havent driven it with the ae86 but Spa is the best circuit in the world(bit subjective)

The switch would be for fuel but also for not heating up the sc before the track.Because i drive with the car to the circuit and back home and its 2.5 hours driving.
So the clutch can controlled with switch by power?

This is what i had i mind

the na intake hides the sc,great for car inspection+the manifold is a bonus.

Im guessing i will have to move the throttle body before the sc then?

Spa is just brilliant. I'd only put the 'Ring above it really. Having a minor heart attack everytime you commit to Eau Rouge really is something else and I've long said, I think that's where my ashes will be scattered!

I really wouldn't worry about heating up the SC and stuff before getting to the track, that's pretty irrelevant. Whilst it can heat up quickly if you don't have good intercooling, it will still cool down very quickly anyway, so that is just a complete non-issue.

It will get a lot hotter on track than it will cruising alone the motorway/autoroutes.

In all honesty whilst the supercharger is not as a efficient as a turbo by miles really, especially if you fit a big crank pulley and overdrive the SC, with a decent front mounted intercooler it will perform fine and realise an easy 180bhp with a big pulley.

Yes, you can just install a straightforward switch and interrupt the switch to the SC clutch.

Your forum access should be sorted btw. Smile

Yep eau rouge is quite something, still scares me Smile

good to know,i will think about it.
I will need to make the same inlet and outlet i think.

I like Supercharges for the instant power and 180 is more than enough for me.Im not even sure if i will do the big pulley since i will work with the 4AGZE ae101 ecu.Can it handle past 10psi,i dont think so?

nice and thanksSmile

a couple more questions if you dont mind;

Did you upgrade your brakes?
This is how i would do it,would this work?

Course it can handle 10psi. I ran mine (AE92 spec GZE) with a big pulley, pushing 11 psi when properly intercooled for 30 thousand plus miles and a lot of trackdays without any issue at all.

Stock brakes, uprated pads is fine.

Diagram looks fine. Ask on the SC forum, more expertise there.

Tbh I would just use the SC intake. Not convinced that you're going to get away with hiding the SC.

This is, I take it down to the laws being really strict on allowing modifications to engines in Belgium?

good to know thanks.
I think my first objective will be that it is working correctly.

ok,ill post it on the forum.

we will see, worst case i can remove the sc.
I can't however use the sc intake when i want to drive rally so thats really not an option.

Yes you don't know how lucky you are Smile
The only modification thats is allowed in belgium is another filter ...
