more shots of the underside of the chassis, fully sandblasted, the panhard support separated from the floor and rails, cleaned inside and repaired, then taken back.

parts came back from from powdercoating and i quickly assembled all that was possible.
![]() ![]() ![]() T3 rca set finally arrived ![]() ![]() ![]() meanwhile i bought some balljoints for the steering tie bar. i had to find a solution to counteract the longer lower control arm and to make it able to follow its ability to to adjust width. my idea was to modernize a little under here too so i thought i should switch to a 3 piece (rodend - rod - rodend) setup. i have found out that the mark II chaser or cresta, same era carina and camry outer balljoint fits perfect in the ae86 steering knuckle and it has a short rod that is threaded outside and as bonus, its left threaded. ![]() now i just have to make a matching rod between the inner and outer balljoint to the lenght i need, piece of cake. ![]() ![]() if this helps anybody, the part number is G837 and is made by the company FRAP ![]() |
