AE86 how many HP can the stock Diff handle??

Hi All ,

I am new Here , I just start working in my GTS AE86 ,

I am Working in the Engine now my target is 280-350 HP

i want to ask how many HP can the stock Diff handle???

and if i have to change it , what is the best option (money and power ) ???

u know what

i heard once,from a AE85 USDM owner
from my country
.that swaped a 1ggte in it

that he run the engine for sure
but he had a ECU (hks) problem
but the differential was good and didnt give any problem

but is ovious that if u want to drag it some times is not recomended
cuase ur car is not like his car

every car has a universe like a human b
so.
u can give it a try
but maybe u can have the money saved just in case

Stock LSD will break on stock power sooner or later.

So it will break sooner if ya have 200 ps. At this power a TRD lsd will do te trick.

At 280-300 a TRD wont last much, a second TRD wont last much and then you ll be looking for a stronger axle. Good luck.
