Alternate alternatos
so my alternator on my gts jus went out...i guess thats expected on a 25 year old car....so does any1 know if an alternator from another older corolla or different car would fit??

Alternate alternatos
In the 80's and early 90's there were only two sizes (physical) of used
on just about all Corolla's, Corona's and Celica's. The mounting bracket is the main difference. Minor differences are the location of the main power lead, and pulley size. They all use the same round plug. FWD versions can be made to fit with a bit of wire stretching, as the power wire ends up underneath in RWD installations. May also require some ingenuity with belt size and adjustment Go browse the junkyards. Cheers... jondee86 |

i used an alti of an ae92...just had replace one of the inside parts to make the prongs smaller and move the alternator bracket... thanx 4 the advice
