Haha wellTongue I told a friend of mine, i was planning on picking up an 86 from lithuania..
He came with the idea to leave a note for me!
Well, i said to him: I don't think it's for sale as it's got an engine swap and alot of effort in it, but you can always try!Big Grin

What phone number was on the note?Tongue 0646480913?

Dont remember.. but the pink marker that was used was pretty memorable.
Anyway: best of luck with your 86.. looks like you have a project on your hands (as do I.. 1 tip: just stick a 4age in there if it's simple enjoyment youre after).

Thanks, good luck with your project aswell!
I'm planning swapping to a 4age for now, as it involves less work and is quite fast for such a light car (i think)
But can't say if I stay with it...

Did you custom make your driveshaft to fit the ca18 by the way?

It's a one piece driveshaft.. Previous owner fitted the CA, but I guess it is a 200sx one with a ae86 tail coupling welded to it. I had it shortened last year as it was too long by 2 cm.

Good luck man! What was it like?

Must have been quite a journey. I just drove about 40km today over the highway and it was not exactly comfortable. The noise is really loud, and there's this loud whistle sound because there's some holes somewhere. If that isnt enough, if I go over 100km/h that stupid navigation system makes a sound like you're in a helicopter that is about to crash... it also warns me that I'm somewhere in the pacific ocean.. constantly
also stiff suspension makes for a bumpy ride >_<

Haha yeah!

The only thing i took with me were a blanket and a car radio..
Guess what! The radio harness was pretty fuucked, so noo music
Sad ( luckily i brought my mp3 player with me)

Who cares, listening to the diff whining and the wind whistling through the doorwindow for 2000km is like heaven! Banging head

It's the stock spongy, springy suspension that made me sick lol Cool

But in the end, it was one hell of a ride!
