Anti roll bars
Hi
I have recently lowered my car 40mm and are using yellow koni. How ever I want to eliminate some more body roll and are looking for new anti roll bars. Fensport has a wide range but which ones should I go for? Are there any drawbacks in choosing the "heavy duty"? - Niels, Denmark |

A big anti roll bar will really stiffen the car up, but there are drawbacks:
Cornering capability for street use will be compromised.. the anti roll bar will cause both tires to skip when you drive over irregularities in the road, thus causing a loss of grip. When you have less anti-roll bar effect the suspension operates a bit more independent on both sides and can handle these irragularities better. Personally I think big anti roll bars are more fit for track use, but then you could also go for stiffer springs. For street use a slightly bigger pair of rollbars is a worthwhile option to reduce roll while retaining the comfort of softer springs. Also keep in minde that the rollbars will effect the tendency to over/understeer, if you only change the front one you might be introducing more understeer. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Thanks! The car is a DD, and have to be able to cope with bumpy city roads. Which is the best comprimise - the TRD? I'm planning on replacing both front and rear ARB, and ofcourse installing a adj. panhard.
