But it isn't that short, right? Because it'll still go close to 200 in 5th.
You just have to get used to japanese cars revving higher then what European stuff does at motorway speeds, and still be fine. My boring, bonestock AE92 GTS-i does 4k rpm at motorway speeds, but doesn't miss a beat when i do it all day long. At those rpms, most European stuff is running out of steam, but not the Japanese cars. Yes it will go all the way up to something like 200 at 7800 rpm in 5th, but it's also at 3500 rpm at 92km/h. At 118km/h it's at 4500 rpm, which will increase the noise as the tvis will open up 8 butterfly valves around that time.
Then again: my 2013 Honda Civic also is at 3500 rpm at 100km/h, so it's not that uncommon. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |
