BMW 335 TT Diesel coupe
It's a story I have to share with you guys.
It was a peacefull night when my uncle came by to drop a package for my dad. I was watching tv and was borred as hell. After my uncle talked to my dad, he sad to me "hey wanna drive a cool car?". It was stupid to say no, because he works at BMW NL, so I agreed and putted on my shoe's. We walked outside and I saw a BMW 3serie coupe standing in front off my door. I asked him what's so special about it, because last time he had a BMW 330c to show me. After I mentioned the rear lights I saw it was the new coupe. The first one in NL! Then he told me it was a 335 twin turbo coupe and my fingers were tinteling to drive the car. It's really amazing how good the car handels and drives for a diesel!! Suspension is perfect... comfort and sporty, but the most impressive thing about the car is the engine. It goes from 1000 rpm!! Everyone standing beside me in front of a trafficlight had to say goodby . Just had to share this with you guys... sorry it's not a Toyota, but it's f*cking impressive. ciaoo Djex 5/2018 BMW F22 Coupe 1/1985 Toyota AE86 Levin Coupe |

But the 335 coupe here has a TwinTurbo 3litre PETROL engine producing 302 PS.
Are you sure you drove a diesel? If so it should be the 3.0 TwinTubro Diesel with 286 PS. danielvanderwoude Wrote:looks like the nmwisima joke saved you in the endhttp://www.jdmbits.com |

Nothing beats the torque of a diesel engine... over the last couple years the td cars have changed dramatically, and from becoming the poor mans choice, they have become the wise mans choice...

Wise man choice ? Maybe. But not in Bulgaria.
If you could afford 3X price of engine (at the moment still funded by manufacturers), capital overhauling at 40 000 km because of bad fuel quality in Bulgaria (especialy HDI from french car manufacturers), overall higher maintenance costs. If we compare 2.0 HDI and 2.0 petrol turbo engine (with ~0.8 bar or more boost - like HDI diesels) we will notice comparable torque characteristics. It's not good idea to compare NA with turbo engines - NA diesels are boat anchors (but indeed these are poor man's choice, not modern ones). If I compare fuel prices only - I will notice that diesel and petrol (95 octane) here can be bought at the same price. So at the moment I can outperform any diesel engine in terms of fuel saving (indeed - money saving) - if I use LPG with my petrol engine (1.05lv/ll LPG vs 1.65lv/l diesel or 95 octane petrol, summer even 0.85lv/l vs 1.95lv/l). With less problems, low maintenance costs, no risks with bad fuel quality - but carying on board 40-50l steel tank for LPG. |
