How would/have you rebuild your 4age?
Ok, here´s the idea... I ve been for a long time thinking how should i rebuild my engine but there s so many different ways to get to the same result that im confused about the right one. That being the one that fulfills the objective you previously chose to your engine and most important... economic.
So whoever wants to can leave the link to their rebuild here or just state how would you rebuild your engine according to your target (ex. 160cvs with stock ECU, 200cvs, etc). Please, for those who have done it, state the price of the pieces you bought and where to help all of us (who are going for a rebuid) find the best prices and quality material. How would/have you rebuild your 4age?
I've always used NPR japan pistons which you can get on ebay. 20V has top ring: 1,2mm middle: 1,5mm oil: 2,8mm but this kind of set is not sold (or I haven't found yet) on ebay, so I used to buy 7afe rings, which is the same set, but with 3mm oil rings and then you can use your old expander from the oil rings, which not used to worn.

How would/have you rebuild your 4age?
My 20v Rebuild list WAS (til I looked into the Cost vs. Reliability of attached components)
Bottom End: ACL Race Bearings Polished and Balanced OEM Crank BC Pistons and Carrilo Rods (might be the other way around) All ARC Bolts Battle Version Ladder Brace Block Skimmed TRD 0.8 Gasket OEM Oil and Water Pump Top End: Supertech Valve Guides Supertech Seals OEM Valves Tomei Poncams all other usual rebuild hardware But then the right package came up at a similar price so I decided against it. |
