They put a Soarer front on a Supra (making a Soapra and a Surer ) so why can't we make a Celina and a Carica "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

Recovered photoshop, but I didn't have the time yet to do some shopping.
Today I finally tried the rims I got from The Doctor. When I removed them from my shed I found only one of the tires was still holding air, so I only tried one rim on the car. See the results: As you can see the rims do fit and look potentially nice with the car. Only problem is that the car needs to be lowered to make it look good: a huge gap between the fender and the tires. And lowering something I'd only like to do in one or two years. Apart from that I also need to have all four tires swapped, so I don't think the rims will be under the car after all. Anyone got some 5j pizzacutters for sale? 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

damn that sucks
Didn't knew there where 3 leaking tires, i only found 2 They look good indeed, but the car really needs a hit with the stick then indeed "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

Art,
We should be able to get some lowering springs for your car shouldn't we? APEX doesn't have it in their catalogue but knowing Toyota it should match one of the other types that is available or not? As for the rimms themselves, thats a real shame Well I still got my 13 inchers but there too, they need new tires... Maybe investing in some fresh tires aint a bad idea, you could make some money back on selling some of the spare rimms you have anyways.. Doc: you couldn't have known. One probably deflates slowly, and they were stored for almost 4 weeks now...
Mux213 Wrote:Art,I do think we could use the lowering springs of the AE86, but currently I want to keep the springs bone-stock. It's a family-cruiser and it cruises like a cruiseship now. And, I have enough 13 inch tires in the shed now... 5 times 175/70/R13 normal tires, 5 times 165/70/R13 winter/snow tires, 1 185/70/R13, 1 185/60/R14 and then 3 times 185/70/R13 which doesn't keep air... So, take your pick! @ Oldskull: yes, they are 4x114 indeed. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |
