Hey guys,

I just bought this 1985 AE86 GTV Levin
Here are some pics & specs of my 86 I picked up in the weekend.

Specs from the prev owner
Engine 4age big port blue top.
Engine has had thousands spent on it.
4agze decked block.
20V crank and rods.
Oversized pistons.
TRD metal head gasket.
TRD valve springs.
Big cams (I will add specs).
Adjustable cam pulleys.
Ported and polished head + lots more engine work.
Port matched sidedraft inlet manifold.
Brand new genuine cam belt and tensioner.
Engine fully balanced.

Webber 45mm carbbies (Rekitted)
Rebuilt T50 gear box.
Rebuilt GTV LSD.
Brand new wheel bearings all round.
Rebuilt brake master cylinder.
Brand new clutch master cylinder.

15'' polished astrons (a little oxidised now).

GT Apex interior.
GTV analogue speedo.

Needs a clean! The old man was impressed

Is it just me or is there no actual intake and exhaust on the thing?!

Hey,

domi, at the moment I am pulling the engine apart to check everything is sweet ie bearings, crank. It has a set of 45mm Webbers to go on it. As for the exhaust I am looking at getting a equal length stainless system made.

I will eventually get it dynoed, there is a dyno sheet in the car that has it 160hp at the wheels, but that was before the high lift cams were bought. So a bit exciting to see what she'll pump out.

Not sure what you mean about the chassi

160 out of a supercharged before high lift... dude you KNOW that's gonna be good by the time you're finished with it!!! =D

She's not supercharged man, just got the supercharged bottom end.

Hey,

what type of paint are you guys using to paint the diffs etc of your cars?
Looking at stripping mine down and painting this weekend.

I havent painted mine yet, but I would opt for something tough and rust-repellant (and suited for painting over rust, since you'll never get it all off without sandblasting). POR15 might be the ticket.. rustoleum is said to be tough too.

Cheers for the tip, I have "super sticky" black satin finsih paint on it's way, care of a mate who just happens to be a car paint rep

Going to get the engine running this weekend hopefully, do some painting of the diff etc.

Ahh, i stand corrected, but 160 without force feeding is even more impressive!!! You NEED to borrow a camcorder
