Red top into AE86

As title, found a late AE92 with a low mileage engine but I need to know what other parts are needed to fit the engine into my 86 I would prefer not to use the TVIS, can it be removed whilst still keeping the manifold ?

You only need the stuff that's already on the ae86 4age to fit the redtop.. And remove a mount and block off a tube. To get rid of TVIS (which wouldnt fit anyway) the best option is to reweld the ae92 manifold. Adapter plates for the bluetop manifold are available, but they are expensive and very inefficient compared to the stock manifold. While your at it fit a bigger throttle body and enjoy some extra power.

Well that's good news What about the wiring and ecu does all of this stay the same too, if yes I'm gonna order the engine right now !!

On mine AE86 RedTop Small Port I use harness and ECU from the Redtop integrated (4 days work) with the body electricals.
The intake was cut and rewelded. The water system is from Bluetop with some mods to the lines to pass by the knock sonsor and external oil line.
Not very dificult.
You can use the diagrams from toymods. They are very helpful.

P.S. And don't forget to use 12V supply if using the high impedance redtop injectors. Mine are green - 250cc
