My project includes:
1- 4age bigort head with toda 272 10,3 lift.
- Custom made or toda shims kit for underbucket shims rebuilt.
- Adjustable cam gears of toda.
- Valve spring of toda too.
2- 4agze bottom end but i replaced the pistons of 4agze with 4age smallport toda pistons 82mm 20 pin.
- Crankshaft rods ect of 4agze.
- Compression ratio 11,3:1 with OEM headgasket.
3- Piggyback ecu. But which brand is better?
Now is allready the bottom end and im waiting the head to rebuilt.
Which will be the result?
What do you think?
The bad thing is that i have oem exhaust system

If all be fine, future plans:
- Standalone ecu
- Throttle body of black top.

Still very interessted in the answer. What will a 272° 10.3mm Toda Setup produce? And how will the lift afect idle, and rpm range (8mm, 9.5mm, 10.3mm...)

I'd like to dig out that thread again, because of some personal interesses:
Where is the peak HP for following cams, without dialing with a adjustable pully.

256
264
272
288

MartinS, it is impossible for anyone here to answer that question. Camshafts are not only specificated in duration. Lift is very important.

288 duration camshafts at 7.9mm lift (Toda) are able to produce peak horsepower at 7500rpm. And this number will vary accordingly to the rest of the engine setup.

Robokill, I'm running 7M-GE 300cc's injectors and I get 80% injector opening with my setup. 304 7.5mm TRD camshafts on ITB's.

I've just bought a pair of Kent camshafts with 298 duration and 9.4mm of lift and I'm almost sure I'll have to raise fuel pressure to keep injector opening rates low.

You can have 250cc's injectors, for sure, but you have to raise fuel pressure a lot!

Best regards

Yeah, I understand but a aprox. idea where to aim for?
I'm quite fancy to see a dyno on 272 10.3mm Toda. Where would you guess Peak HP? 8000, 8500?

But i think with adjust cam gears that you can adjustable the in which rev get the power, medium or high revs, isnt it?
