Camshafts... what is your desire?

As many of you know I've been working on clearing space @ a local race shop.

Well, they have BOXES of old camshafts... there are picking through the lot to see which ones are either repairable, OR grind-able to new dimensions......


And here is where you come in... What is wanted?

Would you prefer repaired 288+ duration 9.5+mm lift cams??

OR...

Would you prefer these cams be ground to 272 or less durations, with lifts under 9mm???

expected price on these should be under $500 for a pair

If you can get me a pair of camshafts delivered to the UK for less than £400 @ 250-260 duration max lift 9.0mm i'd be happy - highly unlikely though!

$500 = ~£330 and I doubt the shipping cost more than £70 / ~$105
So less than £400 sounds realistic to me

These are all Atlantic type cams so all are over 280 duration. Some are TRD.

Another thought....

what about selling them as "repairable" they may have a damaged journal, or lobe. In this situation they could sell for $100-$125 per cam

So a set of 280 with about 10.5mm lift would be possible?

Now my question is that to much duration when I plan to use a SC14 with 1mm oversize valves, ported head, larger injectors 2,5" exhaust? With a MAX of 8500 RPM...

Not an expert but 8500rpm and 280 duration sounds just right.
Not sure if you need that much lift with supercharger and OS valves.
