I believe the big carbon ones are about 5kg. Doors, hood etc. But most of the time it's not practical. Like with most CF/FRP stuff you can't have ordinairy glass etc.

expect the carbon parts to reduce weight four times.....i.e. metal at 40kg equals 10kg´s of carbon fiber.

The weight reduction from CF carbon hood is average 8kg (Club4AG.com).
If you replace hatch with CF+lexan (polycarbonate) one - estimated weight reduction will be over 20kg !!!

Unfortunatly, the carbon/fiber hatch doesnt suppert the locks, wiper and the original window... So for normal street-use i would prefer a normal hatch.

And here in denmark, the car wont pass MOT if it doesnt have a defroster in the rear window Crying
