Carbs for the 4AG
i am think also about to using carburetors,
i am not familiar with electronic and i can buy a cheap set of weber dcoes 45mm. but i think about this only if i make some power upgrades for the engine, for the stock one is the tvis with ecu better. the intake is the most problem. but i have seen an carb intake manifold on this forum i can make it on cnc milling machine but i have not the time to draw it. (and i have not an hachi about the ignition is it a good tip. and the fuel pump can you use from an lada an other way is to use the mikuni carb set from an motorcycle. http://www.86ers.org All the hachies that Daytona can only dream about. |

40s.
Sutter, Weber, Delorto and Solex sidedraughts share the same pattern to intake adapter - so this is universal. PS: the drawing is made for bigport head (bluetop). I can made one for smallport also. |

Sutter, no need to look for CNC - I already prepared production, waiting unconfirmed request from a club member ( :-)) ) to fulfill my 5-piece quota.
The problems with CNC: 1. You must enter manually (!!!) whole drawing (no Autocad import !!!). 2. You must produce as much adapters as you can at once (to lower the costs - the main cost is CNC programming, see 1.). |

Oh, I understand. Is there any other way than CNC? Something manual... I don't know how the intakes e.g for the ladas are made here but that have to be a low cost something...
I'll ask a few people about it. Btw. about how much would the intake cost if only 5 pieces are made? I might be able to find someone who also wants this mod. |
