Centre Propshaft Bearing - How much play is too much ?

lots of questions I've been asking today - sorry folks.

Whilst my car was up on the ramp on saturday I took a general look under the car to see how it was holding out. I've got a front oil seal dead on the engine that is weeping a bit but nothing too serious.

The other thing I checked over was the propshaft. The one on my car is a 2-piece item that has a bearing carrier in the middle that bolts up the the tunnel. If I grab the prop near the bearing carrier there seems to be quite a bit of play (maybe 5mm). This kinda suggests to me that the bearing has collapsed.

Next time somebody has there car on a ramp could you see how much play is in yours ?

Don't worry about it.

If you care or it starts flopping around, get a custom 1 piece prop to rid your car of the gay centre bearing. They are cheap.

Unless you feel any vibration in the tunnel under hard acceleration or at cruising speed divna worry!

Like bro will says when it giives up go for a 1 piece prop (easy to make up)
