Charmy Charmant
So what is my story.
I had a usa imported ae86 with the 4ac engine that I completely stripped and put in a 4age renovated by me 6 years ago and that project thread is still on aeu86. Sadly before moving to Japan I sold that beauty. I regret it everyday ! Now I acquired a mint Daihatsu Charmant 98% rust free. It is a shit ugly car but it grows on me. Still ugly though. My Plans! Bike carbed 4age MSD Ignition setup Coilovers ae86 rear axle / if not found a Volvo rally axle :'( Atiwe 15 inch wheels Electric power steering Hope I can get some help from this forum Ill be moving to Japan for awhile next winter and until i will store my charmant I would love to see the 4age working Pics Don´t Think About The Past, Live In The Present And Dream About Tomorrow |

Well. I love the ke70 four doors because it keeps the square design properly. The charmant design is awkward for the square and curved design. I dont hate it but that might be a big reason to why it didnt sell all that well. Its nice to have the 4ac engine already in there though
Ill upload more pics on sunday. Im going north to pick up two bluetops for around 700 euros. One totally disassembled and one w the top off. That will be the start for the charmant and ta60 upgrading (02-19-2016 01:56 PM)d3nso Wrote: How can you call a charmant a ugly car!? Be sure to document the carb swap in depth so I can look at it if I decide to carb my TA60 next winter The AE86 struts have a smaller spacing between the bolts connecting it to the control arm than the Carina. TA60s have the same spacing as the MA60 Supra. The rear springs taper in width on the Carina, but not on the AE86. I currently have chopped lowering springs for a Volvo 240 in the rear |
