Andre,
I personally am thinking along blue/black aswell but my mate who's taking care of the painting for me sais I should go for white as it will hide imperfections in the body work (small dents, it is a 20 year old car afterall)... Damn its so confusing I love white but at the same time, I dont want my hachi to look like everyone elses Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |

Then dont paint it white.. Have you seen the new paintjob on okinawalevin's coupe? It looks sexy as hell with just the blue colour..

I'd go golden. A mild "hazelnut-ish" kind of gold, not too bling!
... or replicate the entire shell in raw carbonfiber with UV-blocking clearcoat only. Racing matte finish or supergloss? |

Why not go for a non-shiny/glossy (subdued is the word..? Sorry, dunno the english word here, i think you get what i mean) black? That'd make it stand out!
Been thinking of that colour on my car too, but there's too much problems with a color change like engine space, inside everywhere still being the original color. Best Regards, |

Widar Wrote:mux213 Wrote:Matt black you mean?Hahah, it was that simple, eh? Same word as in swedish then.. Yeah, Matt black is what i mean. You can say flat too. Flat black=matt svart. I think flat is hard core hot rodding baby, yeah! Needs a perfect panel job though. Hard to keep in shape too. Every tiny scratch, ding and spot of grease will stand out. Especially if black. Paint will probably oxidize heavilly too and be sensitive to thinners. Best is to paint it in a metallic, then seal it with a clear coat prepped with a flattening agent. |
