varying quality... is the biggest problem.
The old adage, "You get what you pay for" comes to mind Do some research, there have been a few people who have been happy with it once it has been checked and properly gone over by an experienced mechanic. Common faults are crappy hardware, and mis-assembly by the factory. OBX = IMF (impossible mission force) "the secretary will disavow any knowledge... etc. etc. etc." Dan - You can | .... OR you can ask for help!!! OST Porting service - http://hachiroku.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19991 |

Haven't used one, but they are becoming popular in Nissan and Honda applications. Basically its a cheap copy of a quaiffe dif. They stand up to abuse if you tweak them before you install them.
Basically the Belleville washers they ship with are often broken on arrival and need replacement either way. There is a guy selling kits on the interwebs somewhere. Also sometimes the planetery gears are installed the wrong way round, putting all their pressure on parts that aren't built to take it. Flip the gears when you have the diff open and you should be good to go. So far they survive 300-600whp abuse in multiple turbo Honda's. Should be more then enough for AE86 use.
