Yeah, the struts fit for sure!
A-advanced R-retarded Copied the side from my manual, must be set to the center line for stock setting. missing word at the end is "line." Today I measured the axle diameter, sow I know what U-bolts I need. Then I saw that my under shockabsorber mount is below the leave springs. Hope you can see it in the picture. This means that if I put some lowering blocks between the leafs and axle the shockabsorber get extended, wil this to short shock give any problems?? What else can I do to prevent this??
With KE20 the mount is at a different location right? |

No you got it wrong!
Make sure your lowering blocks have the thing to keep it in the center! Otherwise the bolts shear of. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors...208360.htm Why don´t you join http://www.club-k.co.nz/Forums/?? 1979 Toyota Corolla KE35 1983 Toyota Corolla AE86 1985 Toyota Corolla AE86 |

the springmount and the shock stay at the same place, you only position the axle higher! The KE30 setup is actually better then the KE20, because i also compress the shock while doing the same thing!

Thanks for asking! Not very much because I was busy moving to a new house..
Got myself some Datsun wheels, very retro and looking good with the brown. 2 of them were leaking so I had to take of tires and polish the inside. I cut the springs at the front one coil. Not the best way but I find it hard to find an other solution. Next up is lowering the rear. Also I have welded my first custum exhaust. It was actually really fun to do! I cut the back piece and welded in a "cherry bomb". I am very happy with the result, looks also but mainly the sound is great. Not much extra sound when driving normal, flooring will give very nice not to loud sound. Best parts is slowing down on engine from higher revs > makes good 'spitting' sound! I did the 2nd last exhaust mounting point but still need to weld up a bracket for the last one. Also thinking to paint it black. (edit; hmm maybe I should reseize next time...) |

What model those datsun wheels came with? The look awesome, the remind me of those celica/supra wheels but are a bit cooler! Dimensions (width, dia, PCD and offfset) on those?

Thanks for your update!
Looks a lot better now, just imagine it lowered, thats going to be nuts! There is nothing more essential than a good set of rims these cars! You´re right they do look kinda like the supra rims. PCD=114,3 I got these SSR Longchamps: My car used to make the spitting sound, too. I adjusted carb/ distributor but it stayed, so it must be allright, then. 1979 Toyota Corolla KE35 1983 Toyota Corolla AE86 1985 Toyota Corolla AE86 |
