Hi guys! Been a long while since I last posted something here.

Car is slowly coming back to its stock form with some mishaps in the meantime. Assembled a rebuilt stock engine but something went wrong and 370km in the engine spited out 2 con rods ending up hitting the freeway rails. Car wasn’t too bad, but building another engine took forever.

2 years later, car is back on the road and so far everything is fine. Need to change the crown wheel and pinion to the original one since the 4.77 is whining a lot.

Had a nice Blaupunkt Bremen with BT installed which looks great and I’m trying to use the car more often, but either I’m getting too old for this, or the car is infiltrating a lot more gas fumes inside the cabin. It gets to the point where I get headaches. It has been like this for a long time, but maybe a little worse since the last time I remember.

Do you have any ideas on where it may come from?

The 3-door AE86 is notorious for sucking in exhaust fumes from the rear if it's not sealed properly. There are two things to check:
1) Check the rubber seal of the hatch
2) the tail light gaskets may have gotten old, become brittle and now don't seal properly

You can probably use generic rubber seal replacements. The gaskets are available on Flos.ie and can be found here.
