Crankcase engine Fault Please help
Hi i am with small port 1600 red top 4age engine.
starts fine works well still in process to run it in since it's a rebuilt. anyway.... Has anyone had a problem with the engine breather pumps heaps of air out? turned off the engine i could actually hear some air noise seems to be under pressure. ive also noticed oil leaks its forcing oil out the engine through the dizzy and on top of the can covers. i unbolted the dizzy to check if seal is in good condition as soon as i removed the bolts the dizzy got pumped out? what causes such things? someone must have had this problem i would like to know what was the problem so i know if i have to pull the motor out or not Any feed back would much appreciated |

Camcovers been blasted and painted, possibly blocked the breather? You getting any pressure from the breatherport on the camcover?
Well if you were to check the rings, heads commes off, new headbolts,... better make sure its nothing else! Is it using oil, too? See what other people think... 1979 Toyota Corolla KE35 1983 Toyota Corolla AE86 1985 Toyota Corolla AE86 |

Crankcase engine Fault Please help
i am thinking of swapping blocks now
i do have a Bigport long block freshly rebuilt in the shed. now if i was to swap the small port bottom end to bigport will there be any changes in power loss or how the engine will function? also the smallport head has a pipe that goes down to the block if i was to swap the blocks around should i block the pipe? i just want an engine i can trust with no problems id rather swap around And merry Christmas btw |

Should be able to swap them over with no problem or powerloss. Block the returnpipe, yes.

Just try to get the breather working again, would be the easiest thing to do before swapping the engine.
