WOOP WOOP! D2 Coilovers on this HO! AH YEAH!

LOL! Yesterday me and my friend where busy in his aircon cooled garage (thank God). I need more cold than heat before I go crazy. Eventho I was a lil bit sick and my friend was tired - we pulled through from 12:00 to 20:00 o clock. (we had to check some things - take regular breaks - and we also had a lot of visitors).

I fear you have virtually no more bump travel left in your car.
You do realize these coilovers are meant to be welded on in place of the original springperch, and that the struts most likely need to be shortened?
Did the shocks fit the original strut or did you put some spacers in?

If you feel it bottoming out a lot you should consider getting them mounted propery before you break those expensive shocks.

Ik heb deze demper kit ook. en je hoeft niets te lassen of slijpen aan je schokdemper poot. maar ik weet wel dat je veel comfort kwijt ben. Tongue
maar wel een geweldige wegliging

Thanks slow and Ivan...

Ivan - I have researched a bit and asked slowboy a lot about this set.

The shock went in fine - even had to softly hammer them a bit down but it all fitted fine...

the rear has a big head so it should be fine as well...

the only problem is if you put the car on a bridge - the front springs will come loose a little big because of the distance...

When you put the car back down again the wheels/weights presses them back again. That's all. Ive drove some km's now and havent found any problems.

the only problem we encountered last night was a bearing (front right) needs to be fixed.

Maybe I'm mistaken about the K2 set then, thought it was short stroke with shorter shock lenght. Hammering them in does sound concerning though, every shock I've tried to date went in easy peasy.
When is it due for paint ? Smile

The weather changed last couple of days so I decided to do some cheap ass modding...

Painted the spoiler black...
Painted the bumpers white...
Made a special arm for my airfilter so its not hanging in the air anymore (no pics).
And installed a simple roster grill for more air.
Everything is still under construction.

Next up: new brake pads etc. and I need to check the right front wheel cuz I think I might have a problem with a bearing but I dont know for sure.

The white bumpers are ice-white but will soon tone down a bit and will blend with the fenders (same paint but earlier installed).
