[DarkkProject#2] Toyota Corolla AE86

Hello!

This project, began in December 2004, when I bought an Corolla, that have been involved in a strange accident. The principal objective was to sell the car in parts, because the previous owner told me that the car has the body twisted...

The car had a strange meeting with a tree!!!!
Let me explain, the car was parked and a owner's friend chopped off the tree over the car!!!!!

Nice friend!

The car has a huge Toyota Work, with new brakes, new suspension, and a normal engine work with oil change and etc... Just before the tree accident!!!!

But, when the car arrived to the toyota local dealer (my father is the local dealer manager), the guy that works with the body repair (I don't know how to translate the name to Engish) had a Huge discussion with me, because he said the body wasn't twisted, was good!!!!

Then, we tested it and it was really goood!!!!!

Excellent news!

The car, suposed to be a wrecked car, only costs me 500€!!!!!

So, let's make it like new!

And then, the problem's begun.........

I found in the local dealership, all the parts, except one.... The roof top!!!!!
I spent one year seching for one, at accessible prizes!

Found 1!
Bad news... It looked really good, but it was painted over the rust, so when we tried to separate it, it broked in half!!!


I was robbed!!!

Next time, it will be better!

Then, I bought a roof top, 2 doors and more material for 100€ in a junkyard!

The car was parked for 6 years!!!
4 in the previous owner garage and 2 that was the time the body shop needed to finish it...

I cleaned the spark plugs, gas, a new battery and..... HERE WE GO!!!!!

Toyota Bullet proof quality!!!!

Home at last!!!!













I have minor details to fix, but with time, patience and €, everything is possible!

I was short of €, but the wheels were too rusty and ugly, so some color on it was a priority...

With the help of a friend also a owner of a corolla, the other one in the pictures, we started the painting job:

The car is beautiful, lowered like this but the springs are awful!
There are some original but they were compressed...

Bad Idea!

I have some problems driving the car in around at night, in some roads with no ilumination, and the original lamps, were very strange, so...

Is the best thing I have ever done!
I can shift up and down, with drift angels over 45º without "breaking" the drift... continuously drifting and shifting madly up and down!

I learned a lot after this upgrade, but my drifting techniques are to basic yet!


but the Clutch decided to give her soul to the Maker....
And the car is stopped waiting for parts!

That tape was for painting the rear spoiler without removing it from the car!
