bump.

my tacho works, now i just need water temp electric and rev.

I found tachometer + and -. My tacho works. I'm not planning to use fuel gauge. but my fuel gauge illumination and water temp illumination did't work. Are they need different + and earth.



shortly i'm not succeed to power on red circles and rev. other lights work.

Here's something that i made after instaling my digi dash
i hope this can help


From analogue to digital gauge cluster
car:1985 left hand drive kouki 4age ae86 with analogue cluster
install:(1984 jdm rhd digital gauge cluster)

swap first your analogue fuel sender(partnr 83320-19715)with a
digital fuel sender (partnr 83320-19725).

Also swap the oil pressure switch with a digital one
(one with just a oil light on the dash)
One of a EP71,82,91/SW20/AE92/ST16x will do the trick

Relocate the speedo cable from the right to the left(no need to buy a rhd cable its long enough)




left plug of the digital cluster conected to the back of the cluster

1)Gauge fuse Red/blue stripe (5)
2)Tail fuse Black/brown dots (2)
3)Ground White/black stripe,pink dots (16)
4)Fuel sender gauge Yellow/red stripe (25)
5)------
6)Rheostat or ground Green/brown dots (3)

The numbers behind the colors refer to the original location of the wires by page BE-22 from the AE86 manual
some wires(like pwr/econ,vacuum switch) simply remain unused and are not needed

Thanks for your answer. I made a mistake. The reason is my bad english . My km indicator works but my tach don't work.

Now everything works expect tach, fuel and temp.
I don't need to use fuel and temp value. But i don't know why my fuel and temp illumination didn't work.
Anyway my biggest problem is tach. I think its electric and earth is same as speed. am I wrong? When I try ignition cable to other pins i didn't succeed with tach.

Hi, i want to try my digidash on table, so the dash is working, and i have the digi fuel sender, and i plug it into the dash according to diagram which was posted here, but fuel guage doesnt work. So can you help me to understand what is wrong.
I plug the yellow/red wire from sender to 04 pin on digidash, and white/black to 08 on dash (grd), so it's not working.
First of all l found that between (on left pins) 04 plug and 08 plug on dash is about 5.8v dc when the dash is running. So i cant find is it my dash broken, or power to sender cames from dash?
Did you know how the power came to sender? by which wire? So i dont know how can i check my sender, may be its broken..
I hope you can help me and sorry for my english, pleese

Sorry for the digging.... i'm trying to get all the information to plug my digi dash on my Trueno...

But the schemes on the internetz don't match my wiring... AT ALL.....

I'm kinda worried because i'll probably have to check all the wiring manually.... Damn...

this digi cluster was fitted to JDM GT Apex models only? i have seen some GTV Zenki models fitted with them too, not sure from factory or not.

Hi guys, I have a question. what designation remaining pin connector on the left digital dash.
2) Tacho
3) Ground
5) speed efi
9) nothing
11) nothing
13) nothing
Tacho not work,must be connecting fuel sender,After the tacho works correctly.
