Getting any detonations in the exhaust?
Might be 180° out, take the top cambelt cover of and see if the cambelt pulley marks line up with the tdc mark at the bottom, thats your compression stroke and thats where you need to silde in the dizzy. If the engine had a rebuid, new timingbelts etc and never run since, you better be 100% sure take the rocker covers off and have a look what the cams look like on number 1 cylinder with the marks lined up (compression stroke), do they form a V? If not the camgears were put the wrong slot, also while I´m writing that you shouldnt have decent compression with the camgears out... 1979 Toyota Corolla KE35 1983 Toyota Corolla AE86 1985 Toyota Corolla AE86 |
