Plug ID
Finally got down to my cold start issue and it was the plug on the coolant temp sensor so I’m on the lookout for one although I think I have a spare. But incase I don’t, can anyone help me ID this plug or have a part number for one? Links to my flicker below for pics.

Looks a lot like an AMP Junior Power Timer (or mini timer) connector..
Only it isnt exactly.. the little guide pin is off center.. that's different to the run of the mill JPT connectors. Probably a specifically keyed JPT connector, little chance you'll find one new. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

TE 282681-1
I know it's not exactly the same, but it's probably your best bet (and it have the correct offset) The other option is filing the keying on the sensor and using a common junior timer connector like TE 826008-5 or TE 826008-2 if you want to keep the green color. |

Could you possibly just replace the spades inside the plug? Not sure if these can be taken apart

Well its fixed!
I did have an old engine loom and this had a plug on it. This loom was bought brand new from toyota about 30 years ago and used for spares for the rally car I got so it was in mint condition. I was amazed at how great the plug is meant to be!! First time in 2 years the car has started properly so I'm happy! |
