Greets to all of you hachi heroes from our rather cold finland!
Im making my debut with one take, since ive already "finished" this build. Everything began with me buying this eight-six from this mate Viktor, from Estonia last years oct. First things first The not so erotic strip of bitumen and other grossness Following the rust-off which i was given the chance to do at my friends shop during the move. Thnxalot Juuso! I was suprised that at least the other skirt was intact Nothings going to happen itself Dont be fooled by the rusted piece, it was polished and coated from under and later on from the top Not going to repair rust with rust lol Some zink, primer and chassis glue All set for rough coating Its beautiful Also over here, needless to say this is necessary in this hell of salted roads And then we paint UPS-man dropped by bringing me these I loved the way that rough coat looks, so i decided to try spray some on top of the boot right after plugging the 16 holes of the orig spoiler with little rubber hats. The boot was otherwise 100% rust free so this way it'll stay that way Damn my laptop battery is about done. Feel free to express yourself in the meantime |

Next up was wrapping my summercars tires around these rims.
Theyr Japan Racing JR6 15X8 ET10 came from Poland i suppose. Of course she insisted to try her new shoes on right away While i was at Juuso's shop, i also changed the alternator belt, new bit bigger alum/plastic radiator and slim fan from 88-91 Honda CRX, shaved those ugly lights off the rear side panels and the hole for antenna. I noticed earlier that the handbrake was shot, so that needed to get sorted out for MOT. The original calipers were both hard to get & expensive as hell, so i started digging the net for solution and read a topic that XTR had made, of fitting complete frankenstein rear brakes out of Nissan Primera P10 and different VAG parts, but it was still shady about what exact parts to use.. I found the recipe for fit with the least amount of work and it is: -Nissan Primera P10/11 2,0i 16V 93-96-99 257,5mm rotors -Audi A4 B5 Brake hoses -VW Passat Variant Brake Caliper brackets (the ones that are straight) -Almost any VAG rear Calipers that are with 38mm piston (there are also 41mm piston versions that i think fit aswell) -Brake pads might need little grinding for a reason i dont know ?? -the handbrake wires wont reach so i used Passat variant wires along with the end cowl and lever, because it was long enough to be used in drifting when tilted and had lots more momentum. Pictureburst of all operation Calipers painted sexy gold The difference in levers The wires end into a cowl that is a bit too snug fit under the tiny cardan tunnel, so it needs a little trim. This lever will be bolted only by two bolts, the other one needs to be drilled, but the other end bolts right onto factory spot. Next up i needed to make a jig to know where the new holes needed to be for the coming caliper brackets. Now i know this could be done by CAD or something techy which i suppose Zsolt had done, but i made it with the precise of my own hands and eyes, and it wasnt even all that hard. I got the driveshaft off and sit it straight and leave the bracket plate on, then lay the rotor onto hub, gently slide the caliper bracket between these two and even more gently slide two washers, where the new holes are supposed to be and leave them there. Then disassemble this very gently, add a little glue to washers and mark the spots to drill trough. You need to do this only once, because after this you can just bolt these plates together and drill trough them both, when aligned well to the drill. Like this Sits very nicely You can barely see in this pic where the pads needed to be grinded a little. For reason i dont know Heres the lever being mated. Cardan tunnel also needs little cutting for the wires to move without resistance, this can be done from upside. All done, btw after this upgrade you cannot use all 14" wheels but all 15" will fit just fine if the ET is even nearly correct I strongly recommend to do this upgrade since it is cheap as hell, parts can be founded always from any shelf, and IT IS POWERFULL. With the almost complete VW passat variant kit from lever to calipers, it locks the rear just as easy as hydraulic! I really mean it It can also be modded non-ratchet with just one screw The rest of the bodywork starts with cutting room for fender flares Removing rusty roses Starting to make room MOAR Taking shape Came out about Inch wider each side Zink, primer and chassis glue like earlier At the same time i tidied up the beat up engine bay, by tucking the wiring a little, new parts and paint. Original colour Little polishing, tucking, gold details etc Then became the new years eve and we drove a long way, to make business and meet some like-minded fellows from Isokorpi Customs and drink like Finns. I bought the front coilover set and front bumper from the Levin they drove to Drifting street series victory! The Levin bumper is too short but will fit to a Trueno, if youll do the fenders at the same time, with hc modifying. I felt the need to cherish the bumpers racing heritage, so i made quick release brackets to it. Here is the rest of the Isokorpi Customs award-winning parts and 20mm spacers, which ended up being a bit too thin at the back.. At one piece Got the engine-compartment how i wanted Geez i should propably get some sleep. More as soon as i wake up |

Some of you might have already noticed, that the colour of the Corilla was horrific and every ae86 should have 2-toned exterior
Here we go, first with the matte Olive green Then with the secondary colour, which is glossy black The paintjob is, as expected nothing but clean. Partially due to garage conditions and a drift missile should look like it has been DRIVEN To make all flares and side skirts look bit more one and prevent from rusting, i applied black chassis glue to all mating surfaces. The new spacers and fender flares required for longer and stronger wheelstuds so i forged racing ones to the hubs. Screwed the plates and wheels on, ride height is a little off-road'ish atm, but it'll get fixed. On the right is my summer daily/racecar Turbo CRX. BC-Racing rear suspension made its arrival at last Orig inner fenders couldn't comport with, so i made new "quick release" (3screws) from 3mm polyeten. This is the last pic i have so far.. Front has been lowered from this point, but i haven't got the time to assemble the rear springs yet. At this point im coming to a conclusion that i need to sell the hachiroku, to finance my pile of projects |

That's one awesome build up!
I could have done without the disturbing photos of drunk(?) Fins. Nah, they were fun though. I hope you know the true meaning of "drift missile"?
