Drifter movie with Sung Kang

Drifter is getting shown at a movie festival tomorrow, and will likely see a general release soon after

This doesn't seem to have any official connection to the Fast & Furious franchise, but it looks like a competently made movie. I'm just hoping that AE86 prices don't go even higher when the movie sees a general release.

Yes, we had some discussions lately about whether we could meet up at the cinema during our NL meet. I tried to get more information, but I got a very generic answer from the official website and the two largest cinema chains in the Netherlands didn't have any knowledge of when it would be in the cinemas.

This doesn't make sense with the hype created and Sung Kang's appearance at various events. It sounds to me like the US cinematic release is the only thing that matters and everything else is an afterthought.

I'm pretty sure we all live in an "AE86 bubble" on this forum

The hype might be there for anyone who is into 86's or other JDM cars, but I'm not sure this is the case for the general public.

But it would be nice to watch in the cinema! Or maybe it becomes available for download and we can make our own (drive-in)
