Do you know where about is the best to release the clutch so that the engine will not stall. And I also got problem when driving up a slope...I always slide down...please can sum one tell me how to overcome the problem...thanks...

Sounds like you still need some more miles non specific to car.
AE86 ain't that good to learn basics, RWD, pretty strong angine, no ABS and PS ain't really what beginners should learn on. |

clutch release point is different on every car and even changes through the life of the clutch...
practice in a big open flat space: press the clutch down and slowly (but not too slow) release it without accelerating at all and watch the rev counter - you'll notice that at one point the revs will drop, that's the point where your clutch bites and you need to know for starters then, again without accelerating at all try to get a feeling for how big that bite point is by playing with the clutch and getting the car moving without stalling it... just remember not to let the clutch slip too long for prolonged periods as it'll get hot and smelly... once you achieved try the slope again I admit the AE86 isn't easy to learn in but IMHO it's a very good teacher as you need to pay so much more attention to the little things than in a modern car... have fun and don't give up AE86 ex-daily |

I honestly have no idea what you are all on about, if you have that much trouble driving it you either have some technical problem, or possibly a deficiency in the driving skill department. But like I said, that's not very likely.
Maybe you have a racing clutch, in which case I could understand (driving up hills from a standstill is a bitch with a sportier clutch). FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
