European N2 Race?
I think you can divide the time attack into classes. Meaning true race cars. Build cars for track usage. Modified standard cars
and none or very slightly modified cars. True race cars have it all cars build for track are wanabe race cars (mine will be in this catagory) modified standard (speedinc?) none slightly modified will be almost standard maybe difrent springs Cars: "99 Lexus IS200 "86 AE86 Kouki Panda Levin GT-Apex (restore project) "84 AE86 Zenki Blue Levin (project racer) Motorcycles: "02 Yamaha R1 "02 Honda Hornet S "08 BMW R1200GS |

European N2 Race?
Maybe having just two different classes would be enough; an "N2" class and "SS class". The "N2" class regulations could be, for example, something like this;[list:9f2ad29269]
[*:9f2ad29269]Toyota AE86 unibody, material must be original. Sections outside the cabin area can be modified. [*:9f2ad29269]Material on hatches and doors is free. Laminated glass windshield and tempered glass driver's side window required. Material on other windows is free (must be transparent!) [*:9f2ad29269]Material on fenders and bumpers is free. Flares, spoilers and wings can be added as long as they do not extend further than 300mm from the car's original top-down silouette. [*:9f2ad29269]Suspension and axles can be changed/modified but method of operation must remain the same, ie. McPherson struts in front, solid rear axle w/ multilink supension. [*:9f2ad29269]Engine must be a normally aspirated Toyota 4A-GE. Any 16v or 20v variant is OK. Engine internals, manifolds, fuel system, ignition and engine control system are free. [*:9f2ad29269]Transmission must be a Toyota T50. Internal gearing can be modified freely. Differential and final drive are free. [*:9f2ad29269]Max. 15" wheel rim diameter and max 225mm tyre width. [*:9f2ad29269]A 6-point roll cage, FIA approved seat and harness, a 2kg fire extinguisher and an externally operable kill switch are strongly recommended but not required. [/list:u:9f2ad29269] "SS class" would be for any other AE86 which doesn't fit into the N2 class. So, for example, 4A-GZE swaps, turbocharged cars, cars with completely different engines, etc. |
