There are rubber stoppers under the hatchlid, but I dont know if they are adjustable. Worst case you could fit some foamrubber strips on the hatchlid where you need the added insulation, and you'll probably hardly notice it at all.

I thought about the rubber stoppers as well but can't check at the moment... Only concern is that the lock would be the limiting factor in that case. foamrubber is a good idea . Maybe a bit of double sided tape should do the trick and keep it nice and clean. |

The lock should be adjustable by unscrewing the two bolts and shifting the lock to another position. Usual way of getting doors to close on the seals is to bend
the door a little Put a block of wood, rubber or even a rolled up towel under the side that touches first, and then push firmly on the other edge. Start gently, checking the sealing after each push, and slowly push harder until you obtain the desired result. The hatch is a large and not very stiff door. It probably closed once with something under one edge to give it a bit of a twist. You just need to twist it back. Cheers... jondee86 |

While I was figuring about how to tackle the problem I did indeed find the edge to which the hatchseal sticks was bend a little bit low. Still in perfect condition though but it could be better. Now it's almost entirely closed. May need a little more adjusting. The fume smell is a lot better |

With my 20V i'm getting tired of high rpms and exhaust fumes.....
Bahhhhhh i like the smell but gets deeply into my clothes.... |
