Finally, letting my hachi loose at the tracks!
Today was finally the day. http://www.gummen.org organised a 'small' get together at Lelystad midland speedway (a very SMALL track in the middle of holland) for some fun driving. To give you an idea of how small this track is, I put my car in 2nd gear and never had to change gear. Alot of fun though
Anyways, I'll be posting pictures as they become available. First a couple I got through http://www.autopics.nl If you go to this site go to meetings and then to gummen 10.2004, there is loads more, I just picked out the pics with my hachi Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |

Lovely bodyroll
Take care of that and your car will handle like 10X better "Sometimes giving up isn't the answer we're looking for, but its the only answer we have" |

I didn't go Bas, but maybe next time I will. Or not coz of the soundregulations. Kinda kicks the fun out of a trackday.
Good to see you didn't crash the car, but damn take care of that bodyroll. Does all 86's roll this much? |

Well mine has brand new konis shocks and some unknown brand of springs
But we've had the feeling that the konis are on their lowest settings for awhile. Need to do some work on that.. (p.s., my guess would be the springs are way to soft or something... ) Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |

Damn..it rolls even more than my car did before my suspesion mods (it rolls only slightly less now..crappy springs).
At least you got to have a bit of fun. My best time was a 1:14 at that track, but that was a slalom with a tighter course set out with pylons. I only used 2nd gear as well. I would have thought it would be possible to use 3rd if you could use the full track. Especially the first curve wil run you into the rev limiter when you take it in 2nd. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
