Just came across this on another forum looking for Formula Atlantic info, all the details from the ebay sale you mention...

Quote:http://tougeking.blogspot.com/2007/10/fo...-4age.html

This is the most ultimate, extreme 4 AGE i have got for sale, it is fully built in Toyota Atlantic Spec by Loyning's Engine Service in Portland, U.S.
The formula Atlantic has always been considered the craziest open wheel race with 4AGE engines, which generates even much more power to Japan N2 racing.

I purchased this engine (Serial number 02-306) from Mr Arnie Noyning from Portland, US. around 9 months ago, which he just finished rebuilding the engine that came off from one of his race cars. The engine is a 1600cc NA and it generate approx 240hp at 9500rpm, there is a computer specially tuned for the engine which has a built in rev limiter, but if you want to rev the engine over 10000rpm, i think Mr Loyning can give some ideas on the tuning. The company website is: http://www.loynings.com/

The engine has never been used since purchased and has been kept in the carton as the condition as i purchased it. Costs over $14000 AUD for purchasing, shipping and taxes, now sell for only $11,500! And this is a great chance to grap this powerful engine and build your racecar!

I guess it was purchased for a Formula Altantic car here or similar open wheeler.
