I'm not sure that narrow band lambda will be enough. It has too "switch"-ie behaviour - you can understand that you are running lean or rich - but how many lean or rich ? No way. About cheap lambda display for narrow band - I can post here one popular schematic - just 2 ICs and 2 resistors - display is 10-element LED bar. Easy to build. But again - I think that this is not enough.

@Jamie: I know, but he isn't trying to tune the engine from scratch. He just has to find out whether his fueling is off at WOT and whether he needs to do something about that. Fuel maps at WOT are always preset to be fairely rich, there is no way he should see lean readings then. So there is no need for a wbo2 to determine whether or not he needs a regulator.

Its just a quick cheap test that could spare him wasting a lot of money on a fueling solution he may not need at all. Of course a WBO2 still is one of the best investments you can make whenever you start tuning.

Getting lost now !!! About Lamda probe : I haven't got that on my Ae86.
This is a rallye car , and the exaust is self made . I'm sure there is no Lambda system on exhaust , even on manifold. And I don't know if it can be located elswhere?
And 4AGE forums , there was a tip using the Temperature sensor .
I did that mod , using a potentimeter to replace the sensor resistor.
But I could'nt get any improvment with it .
As I can't go to a power bench ,I do my test like that : Acceleration on a road for about 1km , and taking time . Doing that 3times and keeping the
best one .

The lambda probe must be placed at the merge of the exhaust runners or even closer to the head outlets. Hotter is better.
An ITB & stock ECU trick - try to use TVIS signal from ECU and manipulate the water temp. sensor only when TVIS is open.

PS:I think that first you must find cheap wideband kit.

sorry to be so late, too much work here.
But Jammie I already have this thingf on the car.
It's a handmade hallmeter with 20 leds.

This is another story, 'cause the afr (that's what its called -air-fuel-ratio)
is allways at RICH, two leds befoere the end and it has NO pulse at idle.

I've checked others afr's and tested with the polymeter and the readings from the Lamda are correct.
So it might be a prob with the lamda.

Finally bought that fuel pressure regulator on Ebay . But I have question.
I don't know how to locate the in and out hose on fuel regulator .
Does anyone knows which hose to fix to injectors rail the one on top or the one at side .
My second question; the nut at the bottom of regulator is for pressure regulation, but there is a hose there too. I don't know where to fix that hose to on engine?
Any help or advices welcome

The hose connects to a vacuum source. Preferably the same hose that the original regulator was attached to.
