Hmmm...

not sure how my car is doing fuel wise as the gauge seems to have a mind of its own.

I think I managed 235(ish)Km on 22litres of UK Shell Optimax (98RON).

How big is the tank on an '86 ? 45-50 litres ?

I imagine with the age of the car there is a float in the tank that sends the info to the gauge in the dash. Wonder what is the easiest way to get at this and check its ok ? can I remove the fuel pump from the inside of the boot and get in that way ? are the seals reusable ?
