Replacing window wipers

I need to replace the window wipers rubbers of my AE86 hatchback.
I'm assuming you can't but them in the shops, or can you?
If not, how do you guys solve this?

I always solved it by driving to the toyota dealership and just buying a length of wiper rubber strip. They used to have it in stock and you can replace it yourself. Much cheaper than buying new wiper mechanisms.

Or you can buy wipers with an adapter which you can bolt on so you can use conventional type wipers. Any car parts shop should have those adapters, in most cases they are free.

I have the the same problem. I also just bought wiper rubber strip but that´s not the best solution in my opinion. Problem is, that the wipers are pretty small - i found wipers in a size that will fit (400mm and 300mm) in a grocery store. I´m about to build an adapter soon, as the stock wipers are screwed on.

Nothing easier. Cant imagine why except for the recent trend of only stocking complete blades rather then just the rubber.

I went to 2 different places and they didn't have an adapter. I was lucky that i found 2 good wipers in my partsbox.
