Fuel surge tank

Yeah cause I would think it should be hooked up like I drew.
Fuel from the fuel tank is pumped into the surge tank, if its full it cycles back into the fuel tank. The second pump gets it from the smaller surge tank and brings it to the engine. If it works well the surge tank should always be near full. I guess to perfect it your would need a switch that when the surge tank is full the fuel pump in the gas tank stops working else indeed you would be pumping around massive amounts of fuel and heating it up. Then again, that isn't really that different from running your engine at idle with a single fuel pump I think... Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |
