Full restoration...

Hello I'm Marco from Berlin, Germany

im a silent reader for a long time

and now its time to make a "project-thread" here

I have a topic in the new member areal but here is the full story:

I bought my Levin in 2009 by a friend, he has stripped the car but could finished the work, he asked me, and on this day... it was mine.





my plan was from the begin on, to make a full restoration and make ALL new...



the car was in good condition, but it has here and there some rust, but it was all not irreparabel



the first what I maked

the axles were are sandblasted and powdercoated



then was the chassis sandblasted





after that I painted the basic epoxi coulor



and now was the car ready for the "realy work", the bodywork
it goes to a professionel bodyworker















the wheelarches are repair plates from the ford escort xri 2door, it fits very good













this were just a few pics of the bodywork, he maked ALL

in the time were the car by the bodyshop
I worked on some parts

polished the wheels



bougth a egine



which I rebuilding to



I sandblasted him at work and painted





polished the channels and vents of the head



in summer of this year (it was for one year by the bodywork) it goes to the paintshop









for two weeks I build the axles inside and it stand now on his wheels







this was also a short view of the rebuilding from my AE86 Levin Coupe

Great work love the colour, i would have left the bumpers black/standard though imo with unpainted side skirts, its too much all the one colour
